First, I’d like to preface this by saying I am not a professional art business (yet). I am but a college student who, atm, does not have much art-vending experience nor the funds to do everything so fancily. I am also a full-time student, so my shop will be on and off regarding when paintings are available or how long a commission will take. But if you do have suggestions for how to improve things in the future, I’m all ears.

MY COMMISSION CONTRACT & INVOICE

How long does it take for my commission to arrive?

A commission is completed in two parts: 1) me painting it (in which the time depends on the client’s preferred size and level of detail for the piece); and 2) shipping. All commissions will be ship within 7 business days after the client’s intended due date (aka the date I need to finish this painting by). So order from me early if you want to make it for an event or something! Idk when USPS will get it to your address.

A small ugly cat painting may take around 3 days to paint, while a large family painting may take around 3 weeks.

How do I pay?

For now, the payment methods are limited to Zelle, Venmo, Apple Cash, mail-in check, or cash (if you are nearby my location and can meet up with me).

When do I pay?

After the commission has been ordered (meaning I got the photo you would like me to paint), I will request a partial payment upfront of 25% of the price. After the piece has been finished and you and I are both happy with it, I will request the remaining 75% of the full payment. Then I’ll ship it to your mailing address.

Will you show me sneak peaks of my commission while you’re painting it?

I believe in momentary flabbergastedness, so nah, I’ll show you the painting after it’s done! If there are any revisions you’d like to make, I can make that happen as well (see contract for full details),

How do you calculate pricing?

My prices are calculated in terms of an hourly rate/living wage multiplied by hours of labor, plus the cost of materials, and if the piece has won any awards/recognitions.

Free shipping? Tracking info?

I do free-shipping on orders in Atlanta. If in Metro Atlanta: $25. If outside of Metro Atlanta, shipping fees may vary. Shipping fees are not calculated by me, but calculated by USPS; Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location and order weight.

I will typically use the default (the cheapest) option for delivery, unless the client says otherwise. Once packages are shipped, I will let you know and share with you the tracking number and estimated date of arrival.

Lost or delayed packages

Once your order is with the shipping carrier, delivery times are unfortunately out of my hands. If your package is delayed, please check your tracking info first, then with your local post office, and don’t hesitate to contact me for help.

Although I put my heart and soul into my work, I am not responsible for lost mail. Please contact me with any questions or concerns about your order.
